Campaign websiteVo's campaign website stated the following:Public SafetyGovernment’s first job is keeping families safe. I’ll always back law enforcement and work to strengthen trust with standards that work for both local and federal authorities: body-worn cameras, de-escalation training, and proven community-policing tactics. We’ll hit organized retail theft with federal task forces and take on the fentanyl supply chain, from Chinese precursor suppliers to Mexican cartels, so dealers and suppliers face real consequences.I’ll push to: increase penalties for fentanyl trafficking; expand data-sharing against organized theft; fully fund training and equipment so officers and federal agents can do the job safely and professionally.Lower Cost of LivingFamilies feel it in their wallets: at the pump, the grocery store, and in their insurance bills. I’ll vote to cut wasteful spending that fuels inflation, protect Social Security and Medicare for today’s seniors, and apply a mayor’s discipline to every dollar: targeting fraud and duplication rather than just ask taxpayers to pay more.I’ll push to: audit waste and fraud across all agencies; streamline permits and infrastructure that lower costs; protect earned benefits for seniors while safeguarding long-term solvency by cracking down on fraud and abuse.Address Homelessness & FentanylThe federal government spends billions with too little to show. Funding must come with accountability and outcomes: treatment, shelter, and recovery that move people off the streets, while enforcing no-camping rules near schools and parks. And we’ll treat fentanyl like the public-safety emergency it is.I’ll push to: audit grants and contracts; strip funding from ineffective programs; prioritize mental-health and addiction treatment beds tied to measurable results; and crack down on fentanyl traffickers and pill-press operations.Improve Education OutcomesParents should be partners in education. Let’s raise reading, math, and science performance, expand CTE and STEM pathways, and keep classrooms focused on learning, not politics. My wife Traci is a classroom teacher, I know teachers need more support. I’ll support better funding for tutoring and proven literacy programs, so every child learns to read on time and graduates ready for college or a good career.I’ll push to: expand CTE and STEM programs; increase federal support for evidence-based reading instruction; and ensure parents have a real voice in their children’s education.Smart Border & Legal ImmigrationWe’re a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants. I know firsthand the importance of immigration and doing it the right way. I’ll support secure borders and faster asylum decisions, paired with better training and resources for agents so enforcement is effective, safe, and professional. We don’t need more racial profiling; we do need agents to have the right tools, techniques, and accountability. We must also modernize legal immigration so employers can hire lawfully, and families follow a fair, orderly process.I’ll push to: finish border technology and infrastructure; speed up asylum and visa processing; and modernize legal immigration so families and employers can follow the law without years of delayClean Government & AccountabilityNo more sweetheart deals. I’ll fight to end congressional insider stock trading. I’ll demand transparent budgets, tough audits, and stronger ethics rules, because taxpayer dollars should go to results, not insiders. That’s how I’ve led locally, and it’s how I’ll lead in Washington.I’ll push to: ban stock trading by members of Congress; require full budget transparency; and strengthen penalties for ethics and lobbying violations.Standing with Allies, Avoiding New WarsI support Israel because it is unequivocally in the national security interests of the United States.Across the world, America should be strong and smart: help allies with technology, training, and equipment; keep aid accountable; and reserve U.S. forces for extraordinary circumstances like saving American lives. We do not need boots on the ground and endless wars that cost too many American lives and treasure.I’ll push to: strengthen alliances through technology and intelligence sharing; require oversight and results for foreign aid; and keep U.S. troops out of open-ended foreign conflicts.Support Taiwan & Oppose Communist Influence in AmericaTaiwan is a free, democratic society and a vital U.S. partner, and America has both a moral and strategic obligation to help ensure it can defend itself against aggression from the Chinese Communist Party. U.S. policy under the Taiwan Relations Act has helped preserve peace for decades, and that commitment must remain clear and credible. A strong Taiwan is essential to regional stability, global supply chains, and American national security, which is why I support strengthening Taiwan’s defensive capabilities and deepening economic and technological ties. In Congress, I will stand firmly with the people of Taiwan and push back against CCP aggression, coercion, and intimidation.I will also push to: oppose the Vietnamese Communist Party’s attempts to gain influence in America. That’s why I support protecting Westminster and Garden Grove’s public assets from influence by the Vietnamese Communist government and its affiliates and I support banning them from acquiring, leasing, or renting city property in those cities or anywhere in California.— Chuong Vo's campaign website (August 3, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
