Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Christopher Gonzales is a 46-year resident of Orange County, U.S. Army veteran, attorney, and business owner. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with Native American and Hispanic heritage, he moved to Southern California at six months old and to Orange County as a teenager. A graduate of Irvine High School, UC Irvine (B.A. in Social Ecology with a Criminal Justice minor and B.A. in Political Science), and UCLA School of Law (Class President), he has dedicated his career to fighting for police officers, firefighters, veterans, and working families.
Christopher served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and is a VA-accredited veterans’ advocate. He owns the Law Office of Christopher J. Gonzales in Santa Ana, where he has represented the community, law enforcement, firefighters, veterans, and local businesses for over 25 years. He previously chaired the City of Irvine Investment Committee, overseeing millions in public resources, and has been actively involved in numerous community organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, pro-life advocacy, and support for homeless services.
Independent-minded and deeply rooted in conservative values, Christopher is not a career politician — he is a principled fighter with unmatched integrity and a tireless commitment to Orange County. He believes in making our homes, communities, and nation more prosperous, free, and secure — and he is ready to take that fight to Washington.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability
Christopher Gonzales is committed to fighting the crushing cost-of-living crisis in California’s 47th District. He believes Orange County families should be able to afford a home, put food on the table, and provide for their loved ones without being overwhelmed by high taxes, housing costs, gas prices, and inflation.
He will work in Congress to lower housing costs by reducing regulations and increasing supply, cut taxes for working families and small businesses, reduce energy prices through American energy independence, and restore fiscal responsibility to combat inflation. He rejects the big-government policies that have made California one of the most expensive states in America. Families deserve real relief.Traditional Values & Family
Christopher Gonzales is a steadfast defender of traditional American values, strong families, and parental rights. He believes parents — not government bureaucrats — know what is best for their children and should have full authority over their education, healthcare decisions, and upbringing. Gonzales will protect children from radical ideologies in schools and ensure laws prioritize family stability and child safety.
He proudly stands with law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, veterans, and active-duty military members, ensuring they receive the respect and support they deserve.Public Safety & Border Security
Christopher Gonzales believes safe communities are the foundation of a thriving district. He is committed to supporting law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders with the resources they need and tougher penalties for violent criminals. He will oppose any efforts to defund or demoralize those who protect our families.
Gonzales will secure our southern border, stop the flow of deadly fentanyl and human trafficking, and restore the rule of law. While he supports legal immigration, he firmly opposes illegal immigration. Strong borders equal strong national security.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Personal Passion in Public Policy
Christopher Gonzales is personally passionate about protecting the sanctity of life and advancing strong pro-life policies. He is deeply committed to relieving the heavy tax burden on working families and small businesses by reducing property taxes, eliminating the inheritance tax, lowering small business taxes, and cutting gas taxes. He is determined to slash reckless federal spending, eliminate government waste, fraud, and abuse, and take aggressive action to reduce our crushing national debt. For Gonzales, these issues are moral and economic imperatives to restore fiscal responsibility, defend life, and secure a better future for our children and grandchildren.
