Background

Chris Stearns lives in Auburn, Washington. Stearns graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 1982. He earned a B.A. with honors in history from Williams College in 1986 and a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1989. His career experience includes working as an attorney and as the director for Native American affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. Stearns volunteered as the North Dakota state director of Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and as a board member and chairman of the Seattle Indian Health Board. Stearns was also a city council member of the City of Auburn.[1][2]
