In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m a Navy veteran and retired federal air traffic controller.
We are at a crucial time in our country’s history. When my grandchildren ask me what I did during this time, I want to be able to tell them I stood up for their rights and their future.
I'm a proven leader with decades of experience in aviation safety, operations, and public service, shaped by my early service as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy.
I bring steady leadership, operational expertise, and a strong sense of duty to the work of serving his community.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I'm passionate about education.
Cabarrus County is growing fast, and our schools need to keep up. I believe North Carolina’s future starts with strong public schools that give every student a real path forward, whether that is college, skilled trades, or military service. I support investing in teachers, modern classrooms, and career and technical education partnerships that reflect the workforce needs of communities like Cabarrus County. At the same time, I believe we must be honest about the strain caused by underfunding and the unchecked expansion of voucher programs that divert resources away from local public schools.Families in Cabarrus County are feeling the pressure of rising housing costs, higher utility bills, and everyday expenses that keep climbing. I support practical, bipartisan solutions that focus on keeping North Carolina affordable for working families and retirees alike. That includes responsible tax policy, smart infrastructure investments to manage growth, and protecting homeowners from being priced out of their communities. I believe economic growth should lift local families, not leave them behind.Access to reliable, affordable health care is essential as Cabarrus County continues to grow. I support protecting recent progress in expanding coverage, strengthening local hospitals and clinics, and improving access to mental and behavioral health care. With a career spent in safety-critical public service, I believe health care decisions should be guided by data, accountability, and a focus on long-term stability for patients, providers, and communities across North Carolina.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I believe we need to better manage education funding and increase teacher pay, provide affordable healthcare for everyone, make sure we all can afford a roof over our heads and food on the table, and to fight for free and fair elections.
