Steinmetz (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Wyoming State Senate to represent District 3. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2026. She advanced from the Republican primary on August 18, 2026.

Steinmetz is a former Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives, representing District 5 from 2015 to 2019. She was first elected to the chamber in 2014.
