Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I bring over 20 years of experience in educational leadership, public policy and community service. In addition to degrees in biology and education administration, I hold a law degree from the University of Wyoming. I have served as a teacher, principal, district administrator and held leadership roles in two state departments of education. I have experience working with traditional public as well as charter, online and alternative schools in rural, suburban and Tribal committees. I am a former mayor and volunteer firefighter.

I will cultivate innovation, work collaboratively with local educators, parents and school boards. I will lead the Wyoming Department of Education with integrity and optimism.I will advocate for investing as many resources in education as we can afford. I will respect parents, teachers and local control.I will be a trusted thought partner and an advocate for strong public schools. I will work with the legislature as they consider critical education policies. I will keep the best interests of all students at the top of my priority list.
