Background
Cecil Ince served in the U.S. Army from 1996 to 1999. Ince graduated from Flour Bluff High School. Ince earned an associate degree from the KD College Conservatory in 2010.
Ince's career experience includes working as an event coordinator.[1]
In 2000, he joined the Libertarian Party and has run in multiple elections.[2] In 2002, he unsuccessfully ran for the Missouri Legislature representing the 137th District, under the name Christopher Davis.[3] In 2002, he announced an intention to run in the Missouri State Representative race representing District 23, but withdrew from the race. He had announced himself as a Republican candidate.[4] Once more under the name Christopher Davis, he tried his hand at Missouri politics in 2004, running as a Libertarian for Missouri Secretary of State. He was defeated by Robin Carnahan (R).[5]
Moving on to Texas politics, running as Cecil Ince, he was defeated by Linda Harper-Brown (R) in his 2010 bid for representing District 105 in the Texas House of Representatives.[6]
In addition to his own campaigns, Ince has participated in other forms of political advocacy. He worked with elected officials to pass the Dominic James Memorial Foster Care Reform Act of 2004.[2] From 2006 through 2007, Ince was a member of the National Republican Congressional Committee's Business Advisory Council. In 2009, he was appointed to the Dallas County Libertarian Party's Executive Committee 4th District seat.[4]
