In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a mom, small business owner, and school board chair. I see an opportunity for our District - and our State Senate - to have better, stronger leadership…so I stepped up.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

More thoughtful and specific state spending will benefit all, and lower property taxes. Our public schools are not something that can be discounted or targeted. They should be funded properly, in line with the NH Supreme Court ruling.Local control means within towns and cities and not in Concord. Our municipalities must have a say in data centers, or landfills, or other large and impactful installments being hosted within their borders.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Public schools; state revenue protection; restoration and maintenance of local control

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity, honesty, decency, transparency.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Listen to the people who elected you. Vote in the best interests of the constituents and not those of corporate donors.

What legacy would you like to leave?

One of joy and goodness. Inspire people - young and old - to stand up for what they believe in. Service to community.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Other than babysitting, it was Foodee’s Pizza! Loved working there…great team and delicious food. Was on staff for about 4 years. Still think about the Pesto Mediterranean fondly.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?

A respectful one. Communicative and open, even through disagreement.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

I do. I think compromise is a natural part of finding a solution to a common problem. It doesn’t always have to happen, but legislators always have to be open to it.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

AFT-NH

EMILY’s List

Moms Rising

What was the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember?

Challenger explosion. I was young enough not to fully understand the seriousness when it first happened, but that became apparent.
