Background

Carol Ode earned a B.A. in history from the University of Vermont in 1978 and a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1982. Her career experience includes working as a legislative coordinator in the government and public affairs group of Downs Rachlin Martin and as a consultant for the Vermont Bar Foundation and the Access to Justice Coalition.[1] Governor Howard Dean (D) appointed Ode to the Vermont State Board of Education, where she served as chair. She also served on the Burlington School Board.[2]
