Hamilton's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
Taxpayers First
Carey led the successful fight against a boondoggle that would have left Indy taxpayers holding the bag for an ill-conceived $100 million “recycling” deal with a waste incineration company. As our state representative, she will demand our tax dollars be spent wisely.
Strong Schools
We all benefit from top-notch public schools, for our property values and for our future. Carey supports our schools and innovations that create new models for education in our high tech, rapidly changing world.
A Healthy Economy & Environment
Carey has dedicated her career to improving Indiana’s economy and environment. By working together and seeking innovative solutions, she has shown we can have both.
A Welcome Indiana For All
Carey supports equality for all Hoosiers and will work to move Indiana forward as a welcoming and inclusive state.[7]
