In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a Moultonborough resident, father, and licensed social worker with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and families overcome life's toughest challenges. My wife and I moved to Moultonborough in 2013, after I completed graduate degrees in social work and outdoor education at the University of New Hampshire. We love living so close to the lakes and mountains and love that our daughter is growing up in a community where the natural beauty is only surpassed by the compassion and generosity of our neighbors. Today, I work as a mental health clinician specializing in anxiety and trauma.

I grew up in a hardworking family where money could be tight, but we always had food on the table, a safe home, and reliable transportation. I believe every child in New Hampshire deserves that same foundation, yet my work has shown me how many families in Carroll County are struggling to afford these same basic necessities.

My values were shaped early by my family, church, and community service. Volunteering at a local soup kitchen as a kid taught me something I've carried with me ever since: when you take the time to listen to people's stories, you usually find you have more in common than you expected.

That's also what my career has taught me. Lasting solutions come from listening, finding common ground, and working together—not shouting louder. That's the approach I'll bring to Concord.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I hear the same worry from neighbors across Madison, Moultonborough, and Tamworth: life is too expensive. Housing is one driving factor of our affordability crisis. Families can't afford to live here, seniors are being priced out of their homes, and a lack of workforce housing leaves employers unable to fill open jobs. I will focus on practical, bipartisan fixes to housing costs and workforce shortages in the Lakes Region, because keeping young families here is what keeps our towns alive. I will work to restore and improve statewide programs that incentivized towns and developers to build workforce and single-family housing.

I will also work to address the astronomical costs of healthcare and childcare.I believe that free, accessible public education is a cornerstone of democracy and that the State needs to invest more in our schools. At the same time, I’m concerned that our current conversation about education focuses too narrowly on spending more money or paying families to leave their local public schools.

Many schools are struggling to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of today’s students. I want to serve in Concord and use my experience to help public schools innovate, develop effective programs, and address these challenges. By improving the way we support students and teachers, we can create stronger, more sustainable schools while also reducing costs associated with staff turnover and special education.Wait lists for basic physical and mental health are growing to staggering lengths in our community to due a shortage of local providers. I work with families whose entire lives are disrupted and put on hold because they can't access the support their children need for mental and emotional health challenges. I also work with seniors, veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders in our district who experience their services continually reduced or eliminated.

I will oppose cuts to these programs, especially when they are made to fund tax breaks that don't help working families here. Every senior, veteran, and child in Carroll County District 3 deserves care that doesn't disappear when the state budget gets tight.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe government should be efficient, well-managed, and focused on serving people. That means protecting working people from those who put profits ahead of ethics, defending our rights and civil liberties, and protecting our environment.

I’m especially passionate about housing, environmental protection, and strong public services. I will work to incentivize more starter and workforce housing; combat cyanobacteria through septic assistance, shoreland buffers, and runoff control; and vote to restore funding for critical DHHS programs that support children, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and mental health care.
