In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
My name is Bruce Euans, and I’m the Republican candidate for Ohio House District 9.
District 9 isn’t just where I live — it’s home. I was born & raised there, I attended Columbus Northland High School, I continued at The Ohio State University, and later earned special licensure from the Hondros College of Business. My faith, values, and work ethic were shaped right in the Northland community through their schools, youth sports, and local organizations.
I’m not a career politician. My background is in design/build, real estate, retail, and business management. I’ve spent my career in the private sector meeting payroll, managing teams, solving problems, and working through regulations that often make it harder to do business in Ohio. I understand the challenges facing small businesses, property owners, and working families because I’ve lived them.
I strongly support law enforcement and believe safe communities are the foundation of prosperity. I stand firmly with our military, veterans, and their families. I am committed to stopping fraud and waste in government. Taxpayers deserve accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of their hard-earned dollars.
District 9 deserves a representative who comes from the community, has built businesses there, and has lived there his entire life.
I’m not running for a title — I’m running to serve. I’m ready to listen, ready to work, and ready to represent District 9 with integrity and determination.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I strongly and unapologetically support law enforcement. The men and women who put on the badge each day deserve more than our gratitude — they deserve our full backing. Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of strong families, thriving businesses, and prosperous communities. Without law and order, nothing else works. I will always stand for policies that equip, protect, and respect our officers, while ensuring our communities remain safe places to live, work, and raise our children. Public safety is not negotiable — it is essential.I stand firmly with our active duty military, our veterans, and their families. The freedoms we debate and defend here at home are protected by those willing to sacrifice everything abroad. Their service deserves more than words — it demands real support, proper resources, quality healthcare, and opportunities when they return home. We must honor not only those who wear the uniform, but also the families who serve alongside them. Supporting them isn’t political — it’s our duty.I am committed to fighting fraud, waste, and abuse in local government spending. Taxpayers work too hard to see their money misused, lost to inefficiency, or siphoned off through poor oversight. Every dollar collected from Ohio families should be spent responsibly, transparently, and with clear accountability. I will push for stronger safeguards, tougher oversight, and real consequences for misuse of public funds, because government must answer to the people it serves.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I focus on Law Enforcement, the Military and Fraudulent Government Spending, because they form the foundation of a strong and stable community. Public safety ensures families and businesses can thrive. Supporting our active duty military, veterans, and their families honors those who protect the freedoms we depend on. Fighting fraud and waste in government spending protects taxpayers and strengthens trust in leadership. If we secure our communities, stand by those who serve, and safeguard public dollars, everything else becomes possible.
