In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a 5th generation Wyomingite who has proudly spent my life in Cheyenne. Raised by a single mother who was one of Cheyenne’s first female police officers, I learned the values of public service, hard work, and community at an early age.

Professionally, I have dedicated my career to nonprofit management and animal welfare in Wyoming. In 2008, I founded Black Dog Animal Rescue, growing it into the largest organization of its kind in the state. For the past five years, I have served as the CEO of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, where I have successfully strengthened relationships with municipal partners and enhanced community programming.

My commitment to Cheyenne extends deep into community leadership and volunteer service. I am the current Chair of the Wyoming State Board of Veterinary Medicine, a former Chair of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, and a graduate of both Leadership Cheyenne and Leadership Wyoming.

Educationally, I am a graduate of Cheyenne Central High School. I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming and a Master's in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. Personally, I live in the heart of House District 11 with my partner Scott, my son Cameron, and our family pets.

I love Wyoming, and I am running to ensure working families have the opportunity, health, and stability they deserve.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

The greatest threat to Wyoming’s future is the exodus of our young people, leaving us with an aging population and a strained workforce. To keep the next generation here, we must make Wyoming a place where they can build a life. This means addressing the housing crisis head-on by expanding affordable options and lowering barriers to homeownership so working families aren't priced out. By combining housing stability with high-quality job opportunities and strong public-private partnerships, we can build a secure foundation for our community. I will fight for the smart growth and economic stability needed to ensure our kids can stay, work, and thrive right here at home.We must build a Wyoming that fully supports and values women. This means fighting to close the persistent gender pay gap and ensuring equal opportunity in the workforce. We must also fiercely protect women’s access to comprehensive healthcare, stop ongoing attacks on reproductive rights, and eliminate the growing healthcare deserts that leave rural communities without vital medical services. True equality also requires that working families have access to safe, quality, and affordable childcare so parents don't have to choose between their careers and their families. I will advocate for policies that uplift women, protect bodily autonomy, and provide the foundational support necessary for families to thrive.Wyoming has a constitutional obligation to fully fund our public schools, and I will fight to ensure public tax dollars stay in public schools—not diverted to private voucher programs or unaccountable charter schools. True support for education means providing competitive wages and strong benefits for educators and support staff so we can recruit and retain the best talent. Furthermore, I will stand firmly against book bans and censorship. We must trust our professional librarians to do their jobs, protect open access to information, and ensure diverse representation in school library materials. Strong public schools are the backbone of our communities and our democracy.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am deeply passionate about creating a fair, community-focused tax system. By working alongside insights from organizations like the Wyoming Taxpayers Association, we can ensure taxes are leveraged responsibly to help local communities support themselves and build lasting stability. Additionally, I am a staunch advocate for civil rights, ensuring protections are applied equally to all people without exception. I firmly believe in local control, empowering our municipal leaders to make the best choices for their neighborhoods. Finally, my career informs my dedication to conservation and welfare—I will fight to protect Wyoming’s public lands, preserve our rich wildlife, and strengthen protections for companion animals.
