In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a software engineer from metro Atlanta who believes our government should work for everyone: not just the wealthy and well-connected. While political discourse on the national level often devolves into discussion about pointless political theater, I am committed to creating real policy changes that materially improve the lives of everyday people.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Public corruption should be investigated and punished to the fullest extent possible.I believe in a strong safety net on the Federal government level that makes healthcare universal and assures that no one goes without basic necessities like food and shelter. This country needs much stronger regulations on institutions that affect the lives of ordinary people: that means establishing much stronger consumer protections for renters, workers, and shoppers.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about protecting people from when big business and state/local governments go too far. That’s why I am in favor of establishing unprecedented consumer protections in the form of a renewed consumer bill-of-rights. Additionally, I believe in withholding certain Federal funds from state/local governments that unethically or unfairly harass citizens under the guise of routine government work such as traffic enforcement or taxation. On the topic of public corruption: I believe in creating more government transparency laws and expanding campaign finance law to restrict certain activities from sitting legislators such as trading or investing in individual stocks on the stock market.

I am also for a single payer healthcare system that removes the attachment of health insurance policies from the employer.
