In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Brad Noll. I am a lifetime resident of Berkeley County, West Virginia. I currently reside in the Tomahawk area I grew up and then enjoyed raising my family there also. I graduated from Hedgesville High School and proceeded to Glenville State College, at which I achieved my Associate in Science Degree. I then went to work in manufacturing and recently retired after 38 years. I have always tried to stay politically active and only want the best for citizens. I am passionate about hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities. My concerns are: Labor and the working-class issues, Taxation and Fees, Economic Development, Gun Rights with responsible ownership, Property Rights and Land Use, Infrastructure in a heavily populated area, Cost of Living, Outdoor Activities, and other concerns that citizens have.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I want to make sure that citizens can keep much of their money and benefits, while not paying more in taxes and fees. The economy and the local high cost of living continue to be the major concerns I hear from residents. My goal is to fight unnecessary taxation, while trying to bring more tax relief to seniors and landowners. The Eastern Panhandle area also suffers from the need to have a "Locality Pay" system. There are many public service positions unfilled due to the high cost of living. These positions include: Educators, Law Enforcement, all types of School Personnel, and Highway Workers. I consider this a bi-partisan issue that needs a strong effort, or the area will continue to lose people to surrounding states.Land use and poor Infrastructure continue to be concerning topics. Berkeley County has the highest population per square mile in the State of West Virgina. The road system needs improvements, such as more dual lane roads and town by passes. Recently, our state government has made it easier for companies such as Data Centers to build in West Virginia. The Legislative Bill HB-2014 forfeited local controls, gave tax incentives, and did not regulate water usages. My incumbent opponent supports these measures. Our education system continues to suffer. We need to properly fund all phases. The daunting task of restructuring the "school aid formula" has been scrutinized without solutions. It is time for "New Eyes" to look at the problems.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am an avid Outdoorsman, that would enjoy improving outdoor recreation while enhancing tourism. West Virginia has unparalleled beauty that could be promoted better. The mountains, rivers, streams, state parks, and public lands are within a nice drive of the eastern United States.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
