Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a Constitutional Conservative who will stand up for the people of the 94th District and against the liberal agendas that are destroying our state and our country. As your state representative, I will advocate for limited government, Biblical family values, quality education, building a strong economy and protecting our freedom.
An active church and local community member, I have served on personnel committees and chaired finance committees. I served on the board of directors of Alpha International Ministries. I have volunteered to travel overseas with my church and non-profit organizations, helping those in need and engaging in mission opportunities. Today, I work at Samaritan’s Purse in North Wilkesboro.
I believe North Carolina is one of the greatest states in our country. I see and understand the issues facing our State and our district. I am driven to succeed and will spend time with the people of Wilkes and Alexander County, listening to their concerns and hearing their ideas. Together, we must hold Raleigh accountable to the founding principle of limited government, ensuring that our elected officials represent us well and stand up for the people of North Carolina.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
As state representative, I will stand up for the rights of North Carolina citizens and against federal government overreach. For too long, federal bureaucracies have trampled over the rights of states and citizens unchecked, while failing to fulfill their responsibilities to protect our borders and put an end to massive spending deficits. We need lawmakers in Raleigh who will stand for our Constitutional rights and protect our state.Born into a North Carolina farming family, I grew up knowing first-hand the value of hard work and the importance of agriculture in our State’s economy. Farming grain and tobacco and eventually expanding into livestock motivated me to pursue a degree in agriculture from North Carolina State University, where I graduated with degrees in Agriculture Business Management and Field Crop Technology. Our state, and District 94 in particular, has been blessed with a vital farming and agriculture industry. As a state representative, I will work to keep our local farms thriving.A strong constitutional conservative, I am committed to protecting the life of the unborn, supporting strong families, standing up for the Second Amendment and promoting excellence in education.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
From day one I am committed to representing our district with the same integrity, work ethic, and professionalism I learned growing up on the family farm. It was there I strived to be dependable, to solve problems and to never back down from a challenge. As your state representative, I’ll take those lessons to Raleigh as I fight for good-paying jobs, individual liberties, and to protect and defend our Constitution from those who want to destroy it.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
My family farmed and owned a full service gas station. I began working there as soon as I was old enough to be useful and stayed there for years until my father sold the business and began farming fulltime. I farmed with my father until he passed away when I was in my early 30's.
