In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am Flushing Twp. Trustee serving my 2nd Term. I am Genesee County Metro Alliance Trustee, first appointed, then elected by both democratic and republican administrations, having served honorably for nearly 20 years. Appointed to the Genesee County Steering Committee, Our County, Our Future, 2024-2026. I am a former UAW Executive Board Officer Trustee elected 1999- 2002. I have a management background and also ran a small business, a lawnscaping company (during a 6 year layoff from GM). I can relate to the struggles people go through, having walked a mile in their shoes. I also understand the needs and challenges for small businesses and the self employed. Why I switched to the republican party is simple. I had been a democrat for years, until the democratic party in my opinion, went off the rails, promoting sex change operations on children, men in womens and girls sports, restrooms and showers, and undermining parental rights. The state dems also did a power grab, taking away local zoning on solar/wind passing PA 233, which has doubled our utility costs. I will champion the effort to repeal these terrible laws. I oppose "Woke" teachings in our schools , and all the gender nonsense. We need to equip our kids with the skills to survive and thrive . We need to bring back auto mechanic classes, woodshop, home ec, tech and office skills, and offer pre-trade school classes. When only 27% of kids can read grade level, we need to do a better job.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

To lower our utility cost by repealing PA 233, the so-called Green Energy Bill which doubled and some cases tripled utility cost by declaring Natural Gas, a dirty fuel which is not true, until PA 233 was passed Natural Gas was the most abundant, reliable, clean burning, and cheapest energy source we had. Solar and wind at best can only generate 2% energy output, while destroying thousands of acres of farmland. PA 233, also took away local zoning control for solar/wind projects, so you have "no say" about what goes up in your own backyard. Solar panels and wind turbines are made in China and are not recyclable, (but should be). Where are these toxic materials going to end up? We must repeal PA 233, My top priority.Education Reform. End "Woke" and devisive "DEI" teachings in K-12. Instead equip and enable our children with the skills they need to succeed and excel in this world. I want our kids to have the same opputunities that we had growing up and more. Each and every student has their own unique God given talents. We need to develop and expand each students skill sets and craft classes accordingly to build upon those skills sets and expand their scope of knowledge , giving them the basic universal building blocks of education they need. So even, midstream in their education journey, if they decide to pursue a different vocation, many skills learned could carry over and help in a different career path.Price gouging at the grochery store. Is a major issue of concern. The price gouging is not being done by

the farmers, many of them are barely getting by. But, In my opinion, the price gouging is happening midway in the supply chain. It is being manipulated to drive up food cost. In my opinion some grochery chains are also keeping prices artifically high for "no good reason", other than pure greed. People need to be able to eat, to be able to feed themselves and their families at a reasonable price. We must elect an Attorney General who does not turn a blind eye to this problem. Along with high cost of grocheries, is the problem of high property taxes. I support eliminating property taxes for homeowners. . .

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Repealing PA 233, Bringing our utility cost back down to where they were prior to the passing of PA 233 in November of 2023. Restoring local zoning control to Townships, Small Cities, and Villages, To restore the people's vioce and to restore Representative government back to our local citizens.

End "Wokeness" in our schools and restore our education system back to learning , and giving children the skills they need to survive and thrive in this world. Bring back auo mechanic classes, woodshop, Home Ec, Tech and adminstrative skill classes. Stand up for parental rights. Utilize Anti-trust laws to crack down on grochery price gouging within the grocery supply chain. And by doing so, lowering grochery prices.
