In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a lifelong Wyomingite, born and raised in Casper, and now I am raising my two children here. Through volunteering with a variety of local organizations, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand both the strengths of our community and the ways public policy can sometimes fall short. Those experiences inspired me to run for office so I can help create practical, community-centered solutions that better serve Wyoming families.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Public Education is the foundation of strong communities. We must strengthen public education. While I agree that parents have the right to make decisions about whether or not to put their children in private school or homeschool, it is against the Wyoming constitution for the money that is allotted for public education to be used for private schools. I stand with public education.Wyoming is a place where we value personal freedom. We must continue to defend personal freedoms. Personal freedom means everything from the freedom to choose the books we read to voting in free and fair elections. We have to protect personal freedoms.Wyoming values public lands, and we MUST protect our public lands. Public land in Wyoming is one of our most valuable resources. We know that tourism is our second largest industry, and people come from all over the world to enjoy our public lands. HOWEVER, in Wyoming, we also know that the value of wide-open spaces, time spent hunting, fishing, hiking and camping cannot be tallied in dollars. Public lands belong to all of us.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
