Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a father of two children, husband to a wonderful partner, an Executive and Workforce Development consultant, and a local advocate. Our 2021 school board election, which garnered national attention is when I began to get involved.

Anyone that’s met or interacted with me knows that when addressing challenges, I want to understand the reasons behind policy decisions & have empathy for how families and individuals are impacted. I welcome hard conversations b/c they need to be had.

I’m proud and excited for the bipartisan support I’ve received - from republicans, independents and democrats. They know that as a father, I care about the education of our kids and a strong public school system. They know that as a husband, brother, and uncle that I want us as families to make our decisions and limit government overreach into our personal lives.

Education, Fair Funding, Addressing the Tax Model, Community Mental Health

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

My family. They drive me everyday and their growth and example help me frame my perspective and interactions with others everyday!

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Ethics, Honesty, an ability to listen and understand the entire community you represent, a basic understanding of how government should work for everyday people

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

1) An ability to listen and understand.

2) The need to understand the supply chain of policy and how it impacts not only what we seek to do with that policy but also the intended and unintended side-effects of it.

3) Ability to relate and work with others across all polictical beliefs, perspectives, and backgrounds... all to execute projects and iniatives.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

Health and Human Services, Long-term Financial Funding, Infrustructure Planning, Rural and Suburban Growth

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

Above all a state legislator should have the ability to build knowledge and competency around state law and it's impacts to the community, find avenues to build relationships with various constituent groups to better serve the community.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

Yes. Above all we need legislators that are will to balance any personal or ideological perspectives to better work with other elected officials to do good work and set policy for regular everyday people.

What is the first bill you would introduce if elected?

1) Focus on Educational Funding and 2) Address current Energy Cost and Policy
