Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
America First - We need to come together as a nation. America faces serious problems that require serious leadershipEnergy Independence - We need to make America energy independent. We cannot rely on hostile foreign nations to be our energy supplier. Texas is the Nation’s leader in wind, solar, and fossil energy extraction and production. Through domestic production, smart investments in our infrastructure, and American ingenuity, we can become energy independent.A Nation that cannot defend its own borders is not a nation. Our southern border is being overrun by illegal immigrants, lethal drugs, and foreign actors who seek to undermine our Country. As your Leader, I will secure our border once and for all.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Leadership. An elected official must be a Leader – one that provides purpose, direction, and motivation. Leaders must have integrity – they must be honest, maintain moral character, and avoid behavior suggesting impropriety. Leaders must possess these skills: Critical thinking, analysis, and decisive action – capable to assess and analyze in real-time to be an effective problem solver, calculated and swift. Problem solving is essential in governance, there is room for fear. A Leader must exercise confidence to properly execute decisions made with sound thought and a thorough understanding of the secondary and tertiary impacts. Leaders must be courageous – they must lead from the front – fearless of everything around them, and strong enough to defy/defeat any obstacle/opposition. They are committed to executing the right course of action, regardless of what others say, having measured the costs of action and inaction. Leaders must have empathy, something gained only from real world experience. They must understand the needs of the American people with the ability to communicate and negotiate with other leaders and the public simultaneously. We do not need politicians, we need problem solvers. We do not need divisive rhetoric, we need a Statesmen. We do not need those that hunger for power, money, and influence, we need elected officials who put the American people first.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To protect the citizens of this State, ensure that the needs of the people are met with lasting solutions, and maintaining a budget surplus. We have to protect our borders, reduce crime, and uphold the rule of law. Public education must solely focus on the core curriculum and we must raise the expectations of students, teachers, and parents alike. The public needs to be re-educated on their personal responsibilities as a citizen in a democratic, yet Constitutional Republic. I will ensure that we maintain a small government of the people, but the people must be clear on their role, the government’s role, and the respective expectations of the American society. My core responsibility is to lead, to guide our State on a secure path, and to assist in eliminating obstacles and perils. Our State was built on self-governance, NOT governance by politicians and elites. This means that we are expected to behave, to do the right thing, and to ensure that our family, friends, and community also upholds their responsibilities - because democracy carries responsibility of the people, not of the government. The government’s job is to ensure that the environment is stable, secure, and ripe with opportunity; the people’s job is to personal and community success thanks to the freedoms in the environment that the government provides.
For far too long relied upon government to hand things out; on leaders who make big promises, but delivered no results. We need leaders who aren’t afraid to make tough choices in the face of adversity. The problems we face in this country are too pressing to be ignored any longer and require serious candidates who will do serious work. It is the responsibility of our leaders to do what is right, even when it is unpopular or inconvenient. We don’t need politicians, we need leaders.
What legacy would you like to leave?
Leadership. It’s not about what is popular or easy, but it's about what is right. We face serious problems in this Country that cannot be solved by name calling or pointing fingers. I will be a Leader who takes responsibility, makes tough choices, and leads from the front. That is the legacy that I will leave behind, a legacy of leading and doing what is right.
