In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a Lafayette native who married his high school sweetheart and has three kids aged 22, 21, and 19. My career is in IT and I'm currently a Strategic Consultant for a medium-sized managed services company.

I have been a regular platelet donor for 18 years with over 400 donations made. I was Cubmaster for my kids' Pack. I have been a board member at GenderNexus for over 3 years. When there is a need and I can help, I always step up.

I decided to run because there is too much harm being done by our General Assembly. The last challenger in this race was a paper candidate yet achieved 26% of the vote. If no one is willing to put up a serious challenge to be the change my neighbors want to see, I can not stand by and let it go unchallenged.

I am a member of many organizations fighting for human rights including PFLAG, Jewish Voice for Peace, and the Democratic Socialists of America. With these and other connections I have built, I know I would have the support to run outside of the two-party system.

The coalition I helped build knocked over 2,500 doors from January to June 2026 to get the signatures needed for independent ballot access.

I have also helped found the Socialist Party of Indiana, a new entity that supports socialist candidates who wish to run unaligned with the two capitalist parties. I am the first candidate that has attained ballot access under this party and am breaking ground for others to follow in the coming years.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Voters will have an uncompromising advocate for working Hoosiers who is not subject to wealthy donors. Big money directs the leadership of both major parties to turn out the votes that they want to see. They will have a representative that doesn't just work during election cycles and while the General Assembly is in session. I will hold town halls and listening events all year long to learn what the biggest pains are for my constituents and to learn from their wealth of knowledge. I will continue to reach out to public school leaders to be an advocate for what they need from their State government. If I find that I can't fully commit to these things while working full time, I'll make changes to my career path.I refuse to accept the status quo and won't go to the Statehouse begging for scraps of change. There is too much harm inflicted by putting profits over people and the two-party system firmly supports it. All my Hoosier neighbors deserve at least the level of financial stability and freedom that I have and I refuse to sit silently in the comfort that my white privilege affords me while the world around me is burnt down and murdered on the altar of profit. I refuse to vote in favor of any bill or resolution that does not improve life for working Hoosiers. That means no votes in favor of anti-LGBTQ+ bills, for further defunding of public schools, nor to send another penny of our tax dollars to the state of Israel. No votes in favor of hyperscale data centers, for mid-cycle Congressional restricting, nor for making voting even harder, weakening what little democracy we have left. But I will vote in favor of legalizing marijuana, ranked-choice voting, gender-affirming health care for adults and kids, and a pregnant person's right to choose. I will vote in favor to amend the Indiana Constitution to no longer recognize just two major parties and all the exclusive benefits they receive, to recognize the science of gender as a spectrum and not a binary, and to end the prohibition of progressive taxation so we can finally TAX THE RICH.
