Ben Bumgarner was born in Texas and lives in Flower Mound. He graduated from McKinney High School. Bumgarner earned a bachelor's degree from Austin College in 2007. His career experience includes working as a firearms manufacturer and owning Evolve Weapons Systems.[1] He also served on the Flower Mound Town Council, including as mayor pro tem.[2]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I want to help solve the tax problem. We are taxing people out of their homes in Texas. It’s time to stop kicking the can down the road and address the problem head on.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Jason’s Deli when I was 16. I worked there for just over a year.
