Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Before entering public service, Barb worked as a computer programmer and business analyst for Woolworth Company and as a software engineer and project manager for United Airlines. She later became a Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner® with A.G. Edwards and Raymond James.

In 2022 Barb was elected Porter County Commissioner. Barb personally knocked on more than 11,000 doors to meet voters. She also serves on the boards of the Valparaiso Rotary Club, Valparaiso Rotary Foundation, and the LaSalle Council of Scouting America. She is the Treasurer for both the Rotary Foundation and SCORE, a volunteer business mentoring organization. Barb is a committed conservative, she focuses on public safety, infrastructure, and responsible maintenance of county facilities while prioritizing transparency and honesty in government.

In her free time you can find Barb enjoying the outdoors, whether hiking or gardening, she is outside regardless of the weather. Barb lives in Valparaiso with her husband Tim.
