In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Former Teacher. Advocate. Problem Solver.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Strong Schools, Stronger Community

Oklahoma is in the middle of an education crisis we can no longer ignore.

As a parent involved in our schools, Ashtyn has seen firsthand how decisions directly impact students and classrooms.

Our schools should be places where teachers are respected, supported, and trusted. Nothing impacts student success more than a strong teacher.

That starts with prioritizing early literacy, focusing on core skills, and using technology as a tool - not a replacement for learning. When we support teachers, listen to parents, and keep students at the center, our schools and communities thrive.Bring Down Costs

Lowering costs for families must go hand in hand with smart, responsible growth. Too often, rapid development drives up housing prices and strains infrastructure without a clear plan.

Ashtyn supports policies that encourage thoughtful growth, protect our neighborhoods, and ensure new development pays for the infrastructure families rely on.

By planning ahead and growing responsibly, we can keep costs down and make sure development works for the people who already call our community home. One State. One Standard of Justice.

Where you live shouldn’t determine your outcome.

In Oklahoma, similar cases can lead to very different sentences depending on the county. This inconsistency undermines the trust in the system.

Ashtyn supports reforms that bring greater consistency, strengthen accountability, and give judges clear guidance- while still allowing for case-by-case consideration.

Greater consistency and transparency will help ensure justice is applied fairly to every Oklahoman.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Education

Mental Health

Economic Development & Workforce

Government Accountability & Transparency

Public Safety

Technology & Social Media Impact

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Honesty, Transparency, Genuine Interest

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

The core responsibility of an elected official is to represent the people they serve with honesty, accessibility, and sound judgment.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I was a lifeguard at White Water Bay. I spent one season there. I spent the next 4 years as a lifeguard/manager for the City of Yukon.

Lifeguarding will always be the ultimate summer teen job.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

I’ve had many personal struggles and tragedies. Those moments changed me. They made me tougher, more grounded, and a lot more aware of what people carry that you can’t always see. I learned how to keep going when it would’ve been easier to shut down, and how to show up for others even when I was struggling myself.

Adversity doesn’t politely shape you. It forces you to decide who you’re going to be. We may not be the author of what happens to us, but we can control who we become because of it.

What was the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember?

The first major historical event I remember is the Oklahoma City bombing. I was at in gym class. It was a defining moment for our state and showed both the deep tragedy our community experienced and the incredible strength and resilience that followed. I remember how people came together to support one another, and that sense of unity left a lasting impression on me. It shaped my belief that even in the hardest moments, strong communities and compassionate leadership matter most.
