In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I was raised on North Dakota dairy farms and learned early on that hard work and family are what truly matter. After working the oil fields and earning an agricultural engineering degree from NDSU, I spent 35 years at Cargill leading teams and later earned an MBA to better support small businesses. My wife and I have been married for over 40 years, and couldn’t be happier to call West Central Minnesota home living near our four children and seven grandkids. I'm running to bring my experience in agriculture and business to work for our neighbors and our future.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Agriculture- the trade wars, initiated by tariffs, have hurt farmers and local businesses. Our state needs to support biofuel facilities in 13A and diverse farming practices to grow rural communities.Rural Healthcare- Reverse the trend of closing rural healthcare facilities by supporting health care for those who can't afford it. The cost of emergency care for the under-privileged far out-weighs the cost of preventative care for this group.Community Autonomy- Prioritizing local safety and business stability over federal immigration theater. Minnesota residents were illegally detained, abused and killed. Eden Valley sources report immigrants are leaving Minnesota for other states.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Farms, small businesses, healthcare, education, and human rights for all people.
