In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
After living in New York, I made Norcross, GA my home over 20 years ago. My professional journey spans finance, banking, media and entertainment, healthcare, and cybersecurity—a breadth of experience I now bring to public service. I joke that I'm famous for "trying to stay out of trouble."
My academic foundation includes Marketing & Sales, Management, Computer Information Systems, and Project Management. My most significant scholarly achievement is my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, with a focus on Emotional Intelligence and Leader Effectiveness. In May 2018, I published "The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence, Leadership Style, and Leader Effectiveness: A Quantitative Correlation Study." I completed a cybersecurity postgraduate program through the Texas McCombs School of Business and am the author of "Mitigating Data Breaches & Enhancing Cybersecurity." I hold a Master of Jurisprudence in Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk Management.
I am a founding member of the Transformational Emotional Intelligence Foundation and a researcher with CyberMinds Research Institute. I previously served on the State of Georgia's Cybersecurity Planning Committee.
After a successful tenure on the Norcross City Council, I now serve as your State Representative for House District 96 — and I'm committed to fighting for the Norcross, Duluth, and Gwinnett communities every day.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Commitment to Quality Healthcare
As your State Representative, I have been on the front lines of the fight to ensure every District 96 resident has access to real, meaningful healthcare — not just coverage on paper. I've consistently pushed for Medicaid expansion to close the gaps still leaving thousands uninsured, championed community health centers as frontline access points in underserved areas, and advocated for mental health parity so that behavioral healthcare receives the same urgency as physical health. I've also fought to expand preventive care and specialized treatment, because early intervention shouldn't be a privilege. Every resident of Norcross, Duluth, and unincorporated Gwinnett deserves quality healthcare!Investing in the Next Generation
Strong schools are the foundation of a strong District 96, and securing their future is one of my highest priorities. My academic background—including a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Jurisprudence in Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk Management — reflects a lifelong commitment to learning, evidence-based leadership, and preparing the next generation for a rapidly changing world. In the State House, I've fought for adequate per-pupil funding, modern school facilities, and expanded career and technical education pathways. I carry HB829 to advance digital literacy, because our students deserve to be equipped for the economy they'll actually inherit.Community Engagement
Constituent engagement isn't a campaign strategy — it's how I govern. From leading cybersecurity training for Girl Scouts to hosting Tea & Talk community conversations across Norcross and Duluth, I consistently and visibly show up for District 96. I serve on three House committees — Special Rules, State Properties, and Technology and Infrastructure Innovation — and have authored or co-authored 62 legislative items this session alone. My work spans healthcare, transit, economic development, education, and technology, grounded in deep roots in this community. District 96 residents don't just hear from me at election time. They know I can be counted on and that they can reach out and touch me!
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
As your State Representative, I've fought for real, access to affordable healthcare — pushing for Medicaid expansion, mental health parity, and lower prescription drug costs. As a credentialed cybersecurity expert serving on the Technology and Infrastructure Innovation Committee, I bring specialized expertise to protecting Georgia's digital infrastructure and residents' privacy rights. I've championed small businesses, workforce development, and education investments that open doors for every family. I carry HB829 to advance digital literacy because today's students must be prepared for tomorrow's economy. Every District 96 resident deserves quality healthcare, economic opportunity, and a secure digital future.
