Anthony Snowden

Anthony Snowden served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1977 to 1982. He earned an associate degree from the College of Southern Nevada in 1985. His career experience includes working in healthcare.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

i am Anthony D Snowden is a fourth-generation native Nevadan whose life has been shaped by service, perseverance, faith in community, and a deep commitment to helping others. Born and educated in Nevada, My values were formed early through the influence of his Grandmother, Myrtle Snowden a Post-Reconstruction Republican born in Greenville, Mississippi. From her, I learned the importance of self-reliance, personal responsibility, education, and civic engagement—principles that would guide Me throughout My life.

My GrandMother introduced Me to the Republican Party during the administration of Governor Paul Laxalt in 1967, at the height of the Civil Rights Movement. During a time of major social and political change in America, I witnessed firsthand the importance of leadership, opportunity, and community involvement. These experiences helped shape My understanding of government, public service, and the role individuals can play in improving the lives of others.

I was curious, determined and precocious at an early age and taught Myself how to read by the age of four. That same determination would continue throughout My life as I pursued education, military service, healthcare, and community advocacy. After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where I discovered discipline, resilience, and a greater understanding of Myself and My purpose, To Help others.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Guided by the ideals of discipline, ownership, growth, and excellence, I am committed to advancing three major goals that support President Donald Trump’s vision to make America strong, secure, and prosperous again. First, I will work to defend our borders by supporting policies that strengthen national security, restore law and order, and ensure that immigration laws are fully enforced.I will champion efforts to remove illegal aliens through effective oversight, accountability, and coordination between federal and local agencies to protect American communities and workers. Third, through service on the House Ways and Means Committee and the Congressional Oversight Committee, I will aggressively pursue the elimination of fraud, waste, and abuse in government spending by demanding transparency, fiscal responsibility, and efficient stewardship of taxpayer dollars. These goals reflect a commitment to disciplined leadership, personal ownership of results, continuous growth in service to the American people, and excellence in protecting the nation’s future.Our greatest strength has never been found in division. It has always been found in unity around common ideals: hard work, personal responsibility, patriotism, faith in democracy, and equal opportunity for every citizen. Americans may come from different walks of life, but the nation moves forward strongest when its people see themselves first as Americans working toward a shared future.The challenge ahead is not simply political. It is generational. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

My passion for the principles of government efficiency comes from witnessing the continued decline of the Historic West Side despite millions of dollars in CDBG funding meant to improve infrastructure, housing, businesses, and opportunity. For decades, residents were promised revitalization, yet many areas are in worse condition today than before state, county, and city governments began receiving these funds. I believe taxpayers deserve accountability, transparency, and measurable results. The Historic West Side deserves leadership focused on real investment, stronger businesses, safer neighborhoods, and opportunities that directly benefit residents while restoring trust, unity, and pride within the community.

I am endorsed by many Community and Neighborhood Groups which exist in the Historic Westside.
