In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I'm Anthony Bonna, a husband, father, business owner, and conservative committed to serving our community.
The Treasure Coast community invested in me from a young age as a Big Brothers Big Sisters “Little Brother,” through scholarships from Rotary and the Education Foundation, through Scouting where I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and through parishioners at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church who helped my family while my mother worked two jobs as a single mom. Those opportunities helped me attend Georgetown University, where I earned a finance degree before returning home to build my career, raise my family, and give back to the community that helped form me.
Since 2011, I have owned and operated Good Help Group, a local marketing and communications company. I have served as a Big Brothers Big Sisters board member and “Big Brother,” a Rotarian for more than a decade, Chair of the Education Foundation, Eagle Scout review board member, and Parish Council member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
I am a graduate of Leadership Florida, Leadership St. Lucie, and Leadership Martin.
Governor Rick Scott appointed me to the St. Lucie County Commission in 2018. In December 2021, I was elected to the Port St. Lucie City Council and re-elected in 2022.
I am running to keep government accountable, protect our quality of life, defend constitutional liberties, strengthen public safety, support parental rights, and encourage responsible growth in our community.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability is my top priority. Families are being squeezed by rising costs, skyrocketing insurance rates, traffic congestion, and wasteful government spending.
Taxpayers deserve transparent, accountable leadership. Government should put residents ahead of bureaucracy and special interests.
I will fight to reduce waste, oppose unnecessary taxes, fees, and regulations, support small businesses and local job growth, ensure infrastructure keeps pace with development, and keep government accountable to the citizens it serves.
I want families, seniors, and young professionals to be able to afford to live, work, and build a future in our community.I believe strong families, safe communities, and economic opportunity are the foundation of a strong nation.
I support law enforcement and first responders, secure borders, school choice, and quality education focused on reading, writing, math, and preparing students for success - not political indoctrination. I support policies that help families thrive, protect parental rights, and uphold the dignity of every human life.
Strong communities are built when families feel safe, supported, and able to build a better future for the next generation.I will fight to protect constitutional freedoms, including free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, and parental rights. Government exists to serve the people, not control them, and I will oppose efforts to expand bureaucratic power at the expense of individual liberty.
I believe parents should have a voice in their children’s education, law-abiding citizens should be able to exercise their constitutional rights, and Floridians should be free to live, work, worship, and raise their families without unnecessary government intrusion.
