In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
My name is Andrew Nelson, a representative of the Workers Party of Massachusetts. The Workers Party of Massachusetts is a political organization of and for the working class. Our goals are to overthrow the capitalist system of exploitation and the many injustices it perpetuates, to establish working class political power, and to build a socialist economy that prioritizes the needs of people and planet over the profit-driven interests of capital.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Our goal is to organize the working class, and rebuff the political duopoly that works together to maintain power and control over the masses. We strive to champion the working class, our voices must be heard and have representation, so that our critical needs are met, without compromise. Far too long has the ruling class had a boot on our necks. As an Attleboro constituent, I've helped organize, I've championed for the working class, volunteered with several organizations, be it Attleboro public schools, Attleboro youth sports, just being a friendly neighbor who can shovel your driveway or offer tools for a project. We demand a strong community that serves us, the working class.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Organization and direct action. Workers run the world, therefore our voices and interests are paramount to building a successful working class party.
