Campaign website

Jones’s campaign website stated the following:

ISSUES

Andrew believes in the principles that have made this country great: hard work, determination, and unyielding dedication to our values. As a candidate for Congress, he is committed to ensuring that these values continue to guide our policy decisions. Working side-by-side with Andrew Jones, we will fight to protect our liberties and preserve the American Dream for future generations.

EDUCATION

For too long public schools have failed our students, particularly minority students who are stuck in schools with poor performance. As a Father and Grandfather, Andrew understands that family should be involved in their child’s education. Parents should be able to choose how best to education their children, be it public, private, charter, or home schooling. More school choice and options afford parents the ability to choose how to best educate their child.

ECONOMY & INFLATION

Our economy is stagnant and the price of goods continues to rise. This stagnation is caused by failed policies and out of control government spending. As a businessman, Andrew understand the importance of sound fiscal policy guiding our federal government's spending. He will work to keep taxes low, reduce red tape, and limit wasteful government spending.

CRIME & SAFETY

Citizens deserve to be safe in their homes and on our streets. We must ensure police have adequate funding, training, end equipment to keep our families safe. Criminals need to be prosecuted to deter future crime, not allowed to repeat their offenses. Andrew will stand up for our first responders and always back the blue.

IMMIGRATION

Our border is not secured and America has suffered because of this. Crime from gangs, human trafficking, and deadly drugs flow across our border daily. Illegal immigrants are draining public services meant for our citizens, diverting resources needed to care for our own. Andrew will fight to secure our border and deter illegal immigration.

DEBT

America has accumulated over $34 trillion dollars of debt. This number should frighten every American. This debt has helped to balloon inflation and our interest payments alone are becoming a huge burden. Our nation must begin to pay down our debt to ensure that services Americans enjoy will be able to continue. We need leaders in Congress who will make tough decisions to balance our budget to safeguard future generations

He also holds two advanced degrees from St. Louis Universities, with an MA in International Business from Webster University and an MBA from Washington University's Olin School of Business.

Andrew rose through the ranks at power and energy company Ameren, and then moved to his current position as the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Southwest Electric. He has served his community through everything from street mission work to working with area business and development boards helping those communities to grow and thrive. He is a proud husband, father of two women and grandfather.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

We deserve to be safe in our homes. That needs to start with closing the border and continue with funding, training and supporting our police.Parents should know what their child is learning in school. There needs to be transparency in lesson plans and a stronger partnership between educators, administrators and parents on the books in school libraries. There needs to be sound fiscal policy guiding our federal government's spending.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

The development and engagement of our workforce is vital to the future of our country. When a person engages in meaningful work where they have the opportunity to learn and grow their perspective on life changes. They believe in a better future for themselves and their children and are willing to engage in what it takes to make that future happen. The development of our workforce isn't limited to college degrees. There are opportunities in trade schools, apprenticeships and certificates. Our workforce is shrinking and people with necessary skills are retiring leaving gaps that can and should be filled with the right investments in our people.

Campaign website

Jones' campaign website stated the following:

Parental Rights in Education: I support the rights of parents to partner with school boards in deciding what educational materials are placed in school libraries and what is taught in our classes. It is important that explicit sexual content is removed from our library shelves and that discriminatory philosophies like Critical Race Theory that separates us by race are not being taught in our schools.

Economy and Inflation: I support sound fiscal policy that directs our federal government to balance our financial books with appropriate spending levels, cuts in non-essential programs and lower federal taxes to spur economic growth. I oppose the Biden-Pelosi budget and emergency spending that has produced the largest growth in inflation since the 1970s. The sharp increase in gasoline prices, heating and electricity and skyrocketing cost at the grocery stores are the direct result of run away government spending. I will oppose those policies and will bring sanity back to our budget process.

Life of the Unborn: I am pro-life. Every life is important, and I intend to support legislation in Congress that will encourage life and adoption while supporting vulnerable women and families.

Crime and Safety: I support our men and women in law enforcement and oppose the defund the police movement. Crime is skyrocketing in our communities because we have torn down respect for law enforcement personnel and the rule of law. Our police forces need the support of all of Congressional District 1. As your Congressman, I will vote for an increase in funding to our departments and the salaries of our crime fighters.

Israel and Anti Semitism: I support the nation of Israel and its right to defend itself against aggressive neighbors in the Middle East and Persian Gulf such as Iran. It is imperative that the United States continue its unique and historic relationship with Israel through our military, diplomatic and economic alliances. I also condemn the rise of anti-Semitism that we are witnessing in this nation and at university campuses through the destructive BDS movement. As a Black man that has faced discrimination, we must stamp this hatred out and bring people of goodwill together.[4]

Campaign website

Jones' campaign website stated the following:

Public Safety

The city of St. Louis has a violent crime problem, and is part of a PR problem as well. Crime threatens not only our city’s safety, but our ability to retain businesses and attract new ones. Let’s make our city safer, save its reputation here in town and across the nation.

Education

St. Louis’ kids deserve the highest quality education we can possibly provide them. That means sending more resources into classrooms and creating new opportunities. Let’s give our kids a shot.

Incentivizing Businesses

Taxpayers shouldn’t be asked to foot the bill for overly-expensive, under-proven economic development strategies. We need to grow St. Louis by reducing crime and creating a friendlier environment for businesses, large and small.

Infrastructure

St. Louis has an abundance of intermodal opportunities – railways, airways, waterways, roadways. Let’s invest in our infrastructure as part of our strategy to grow our city.

Policing

We support the men and women providing selfless service to keep our communities safe. With thoughtful reforms to make sure our city is policing effectively, we can reduce the violent crime plaguing St. Louis.
