Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
My very first key message to voters is this- I am not a politician, I am someone who lives here, works here, raised our children here. I see how the decisions made in Boston effect the everyday lives of the people who live and work here. I am not a party candidate. I am Independent and non-partisan to my core. Especially as a Representative, I think it is important to be nonpartisan so that I may serve and represent EVERYONE in the district and have the ability to work with everybody without looking through a party lens. I believe in the people of this community and think they deserve the very best representation possible and promise that they will sit at the table with me.As the elected Town Clerk in my town I run my office with honesty, integrity, and transparency. I have an acute understanding that the residents of my town are who I work for and who I answer to. I make every effort I can to keep the residents informed, give them every opportunity and encourage them to participate in their local government, and have an open-door policy. I work with and collaborate with every Department, Board and Committee. I am their first phone call and the forward facing office between the residents and the town. This is something that will carry over to the Representative office.I believe in practical, tangible solutions over political theater. I am not interested in fighting over who gets credit for what and am more interested in fixing what isn't working and helping as many constituents as possible, and coming up with practical solutions guided by the people that live and work here.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Affordability and working families, rural communities and local control, democracy and government accountability and representation. I am passionate about our veterans, our farmers, our educators, our families, our environment, and our small business owners.
