In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I’m a small business owner, wife, hockey mom, Catholic, and responsible gun owner who has proudly called Macomb home for more than 20 years. As the daughter of a career law enforcement officer, I was raised with a deep respect for public service, personal responsibility, and community safety. My husband and I raised our two children here, and both graduated from Chippewa Valley Schools. I’m active in our community and volunteer with the Humane Society of Macomb. I’m proud of the life we’ve built here and am deeply committed to preserving what makes Macomb such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Macomb residents deserve a representative who understands that decisions about residential and business development should remain under local control. Lansing politicians and corporate lobbyists should not decide what our neighborhoods look like or what is built on the limited open spaces remaining in our community. I will fight to ensure that Macomb residents have a meaningful voice in shaping our community’s future. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges facing Macomb’s entrepreneurs. Residents that own businesses here tell me that they are struggling to keep up with the taxes imposed by Lansing, while large corporations receive preferential treatment. The mom-and-pop businesses that make our community unique deserve a level playing field and a representative accountable to THEM — not corporate lobbyists. Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue the entrepreneurial spirit that lies at the heart of the American dream.I will be accountable and transparent to District 60 residents, not lobbyists. My opponent has reported receiving more than $12,500 in lobbyist-funded gifts and travel on his Public Officer Financial Disclosure Report. The legislation that he introduced in 2026, House Bills 5529 through 5532, proved who he was beholden to, threatened local control, and jeopardized the property values that Macomb homeowners have worked so hard to build. The equity in our homes is too valuable to be surrendered to the highest bidder in Lansing. I will be a visible, accessible representative who listens to residents, remains accountable to our community, and never takes the public’s trust for granted.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Affordability. Families. Real kitchen-table issues that affect my wallet and everyone's wallet in Macomb and Clinton Township: grocery prices, utilities, home insurance, and car insurance. Let's fix our roads and finally get the widening of Romeo Plank done. I want to make sure our police, firefighters, first responders and teachers are supported and paid well. I want to keep strengthening our schools, improving literacy rates and prepare our students for skilled trades and great-paying jobs. I want our seniors to remain safetly and affordably in their homes. And I want to improve access to affordable healthcare, mental-health services and prescription drugs.
