In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Central Texas is my home, where I raised my family, taught in our schools, and built a small business rooted in creativity and community. I’m running because I believe in a Texas that serves all of us, not just those at the top. To me, leadership is about care, listening, showing up, and standing for every Texan. I believe in fighting to give Texans a real voice in Texas politics. That’s why I’m launching the Trust Texans Initiative, so Texans can directly vote on the laws that affect them, putting power back where it belongs, with the people, not the middlemen.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Education: Strong schools are the foundation of opportunity and freedom.
As your representative, Amelia will fight for students and teachers to ensure they have every dime they deserve.
Amelia believes every Texas student deserves a high quality education that prepares them for success. As a former teacher, Amelia has seen firsthand the challenges schools face and is committed to fully funding public education, supporting educators, and empowering communities. Through her Trust Texans Initiative, she advocates giving citizens the power to directly vote on education policies, including the ability to overturn programs like vouchers, putting families and local communities in charge of decisions that affect their children.Veterans: Taking care of those who served is how we honor their sacrifice. We do this by:
Fully funding local programs that support veterans, childcare, and housing.
Expand job pathways for veterans in energy, education, and public service. Also ensuring veteran transition programs are fostered locally.
Prioritizing veteran-owned small businesses.Amelia believes Texas should have an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. As a small business owner and educator, she understands the challenges facing working families and local communities.
Amelia supports strengthening small businesses, investing in workforce development, and ensuring public education prepares Texans for good paying jobs. Amelia also believes economic policy should benefit both urban and rural communities, ensuring nobody is left behind.
Amelia advocates for giving Texans a stronger voice in economic decisions through her “Trust Texans Initiative,” allowing voters to directly decide on major issues that impact their financial future.
