In their own words

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

For too long, the 18th Congressional District has been economically stagnant while other parts of Houston and the region are booming. Storefronts sit empty, small businesses struggle to access capital, and major employers bypass our neighborhoods because no one in Washington has fought to make this district a serious destination for investment. That is not a staffing problem; that is a leadership problem.

My focus is simple: make the 18th Congressional District a place where businesses want to come, can afford to stay, and choose to grow. That means cutting red tape for small businesses and start-ups, improving infrastructure in our underserved corridors, and creating targeted tax and incentive zones that reward companies for bringing realSafety in the 18th Congressional District is in crisis. When many neighborhoods receive an “F” rating for crime, families feel unsafe, businesses hesitate to invest, and communities continue to decline. This is the result of years of weak leadership and ineffective policy, not a lack of potential in our people.

My focus is to make the 18th District a place where families, businesses, and visitors want to live, work, and play. That begins with restoring safety and strengthening community trust.

For decades, families here have been limited by zip-code-based assignments and underperforming campuses. Our children’s futures should not depend on geography. When parents have meaningful choices—public, charter, magnet, technical, homeschooling, or private—schools must innovate, improve, and deliver results. Choice empowers families; competition elevates the sys

With nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare as a nurse, educator, and entrepreneur, I understand the challenges families face when it comes to affordability and access. I have witnessed how rising costs, long wait times, staffing shortages, and complex insurance barriers prevent too many people—especially in the 18th Congressional District—from receiving timely, quality care.

Healthcare should not overwhelm or confuse the very people it is meant to serve. It should be accessible, affordable, and focused on effective outcomes. My decades on the front lines have shown me where the system fails and what reforms are urgently needed.
