In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a mother of three sons who has long been active in my community. I am a moderate Republican running for re-election in order to continue my work on lowering property taxes, increasing public safety, and growing the economy.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Lowering property taxes

The majority of a property owner’s tax bill goes to education. The education budget has sharply increased in the last decade while performance has decreased and enrollment has declined. This must be addressed.Increasing public safety

Vermont’s current laws have to led to a “revolving door” for many offenders. Sentencing and treatment options must be available to stop the cycle.Growing the economy

Reforming regulations to make Vermont more business friendly while still maintaining the character of our state is imperative. It shouldn’t take the extended amount of time and excessive expense for a business to obtain the necessary permits.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Criminal Justice/Corrections/Public Safety
