Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
A Proven Track Record of Results
Alexandra is a proven grassroots fighter who gets things done for the community. As Chair of a Civil Service Commission, she champions integrity in government. As a former Planning Commission Chair, she led the first full update to the General Plan in 47 years to ensure sensible local growth. When aggressive developers threatened the local skyline, she organized neighbors to pass the Hillside Viewshed Preservation Ordinance. Working-class families don't have corporate lobbyists, which is why Alexandra is passionate about protecting local control and expanding clean, green parks. She believes every child, regardless of zip code, deserves environmental equity and a safe, green place to play and grow.Rooted in Community & Safety
Alexandra’s commitment to protecting vulnerable neighborhoods comes from a deeply personal place. Raised by a single mother who faced immense hurdles alone, she learned early on what it means to be vulnerable. For her family, a responsive local police presence wasn't just a government service—it was a lifeline that gave a single mother peace of mind. That's why Alexandra firmly believes that supporting law enforcement is critical, especially in working-class communities that rely on public safety the most. She will fight to give law enforcement the tools, staffing, & training they need to ensure every neighborhood has proactive policing that protects & respects everyone. The Practical Problem-Solver
As an electrical engineer, Alexandra Briseno is a practical problem-solver. After years on the front lines protecting the L.A. power grid from cyber threats, Alexandra now works in legislative affairs tracking down state and federal grants to make public utilities work for everyday people. With degrees in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Technology, Alexandra will bring accountability to Sacramento, keeping a strict eye on tax dollars to ensure your money is spent efficiently and transparently. She has the technical expertise to keep our infrastructure safe, reliable, and strong.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Alexandra believes state housing policies must balance growth with the daily realities of working families. Having led local city planning efforts, she knows that forcing high-density housing mandates without addressing neighborhood infrastructure leaves communities gridlocked. For working-class families who rely on their vehicles for work & childcare, accessible residential parking isn't a luxury—it is a daily necessity.
Alexandra will use her practical planning experience to fight for solutions that actually work for local neighborhoods:
Protecting Local Infrastructure: Ensure state housing bills require adequate, accessible parking allocations so residential streets aren't overwhelmed.
