In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m Alan Jimenez, a lifelong Utah County resident, cybersecurity professional, and son of immigrants from Peru and Spain. I’m running for Utah House District 61 to keep our community a place where families can afford a home, get a good education, and build a future. I believe public service means listening, solving problems, and explaining your decisions.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Lower costs and responsible growth. We need homes people can afford, fair property taxes, and growth that plans for roads, water, and schools.Strong schools and local opportunity. I’ll support teachers, prioritize classroom resources, and protect affordable education and career pathways at UVU.1. Accountable representation. I’ll earn your trust by listening, explaining major votes, holding regular district meetings, and showing where public money goes.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I’m especially passionate about housing affordability, public education, and transparent government. I want families to afford a future here, students to have strong schools and affordable college options, and taxpayers to understand what their money supports.
