In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I'm a teacher and parent in Coeur d'Alene and would like to serve my community in the Idaho House of Representatives. Supporting teachers, first responders, nurses, and all our hard-working neighbors is the state's primary job, and I haven't seen that happen over the past couple years. We also have a duty to take care of our public lands, defend civil liberties and free speech, and keep our infrastructure working, including access to healthcare. That takes fair and balanced fiscal responsibility, limited government overreach, and defending our state's interests against out of state manipulation. It also takes working together across partisan divisions and making sure everyone feels good about civic engagement and respectful political discourse.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Our education system needs to get back to supporting all students and not playing games with the state's largest budgetary responsibility.Civil rights, religious freedom, and free speech means we don't always agree on things but can still respect each other. Laws targeting specific groups based on gender or institutionalizing specific religious practice should be repealed.Fiscal responsibility means fair and accountable tax structures that directly support long term and capital investments in this state and for this state. Aimless tax cuts in favor of some vague hope of a better economy are damaging and do not have Idaho's best interests at heart. The state needs to do it's job.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Education, Environment, Law Enforcement and First Responders.
