Some Park City residents were told they had already voted when they went to the polls for early voting.
Summit County Chief Deputy Clerk Ryan Cowley says it was a problem with the voter database, not the electronic voting machines themselves. He says the handful of people affected voted by provisional ballot instead. "That's why we actually have the paper ballots out there, in case something with the equipment doesn't work properly. The poll workers that were there did everything they were trained to do, correctly," he said.
Still, some voters were upset by what happened. One woman told The Park Record that poll workers seemed untrained. Cowley disagrees.
